Whey protein is something in today’s world that is very
commonly known and the article I talked about last week didn’t really bring up
an argument but it brought up a very good point, which is that whey protein is
not just for athletes it can be for anyone who wants to use it as a meal
replacement. Contrary to popular belief protein shakes are a great meal
replacement because they provide the obvious which is protein but it also comes
packed with vitamins with a low concentration of sodium and sugars so it is a
healthy replacement.
I asked
my friend Nicole about what she thought about this information and this is what
she told me…
“Protein
shakes are something I never thought I could drink. At my high school I always
saw the football players drinking them so I thought they were used to get
bigger. With the information I just read and from what you told me about
protein shakes I might start to drink them because it’s healthier than fast
food, plus it’s more convenient. Also as a girl sometimes I don’t eat enough
food to have a well-balanced diet and a protein shake may help me out with
that.”
From
her reaction it is easy to tell that she was shocked about the information she
just read but at the end of the day it is still a great meal replacement for
anyone. There are also still specific types of protein for athletes which can
get them the results they want, but as for simple whey protein, that can be
taken by anyone.
